Five-hour reminders and our AI Journalist will be shut down. This decision will allow us to work more efficiently for the most important news stories and EXID support.
Five-hour Reminders
Until recently, we were providing reminders of EXID’s scheduled events five hours beforehand. This was especially useful for LEGGOs to know that they should tune in for live events.
The reminders cost time and money to maintain correctly. In September, we did not have the time available to maintain them, so the service was shut down.
Though our situation has returned to normal, the reminders will not be restarted for now. The time and money costs will be used more effectively elsewhere.
AI Journalist
Our “AI Journalist” software is an Instagram backup disguised as a journalist. The whole purpose is to make a backup of EXID’s accounts, but context is added (by an AI) to comply with fair use laws.
The AI Journalist is very low maintenance. However, it expends its quota with external services like Instagram and Papago too quickly. This is causing problems for other software on this computer. It must be shut down.
The service that AI Journalist provides is a needed one. Thankfully, another website exists that logs even more than the posts and even includes the stories! We suggest this website for future lookup of EXID’s accounts: <https://selca.kastden.org/group/exid/>.
